Biografie

I was born in Utrecht in 2005 and have been enchanted by music since I was 2 years old. When I was barely 3 years old I went for the first time to “conduct a concert” which I saw on TV. I said to my parents “Music is the most beautiful thing in the world and I want to do it! Already then I loved playing pieces on the piano and thinking up my own melodies. Maybe it’s because I’ve been surrounded by music and musicians since I was born: my mother is a pianist, my grandfather was a conductor and my uncle is a flutist and saxophonist.

Ik ben in 2005 geboren in Utrecht en ben al vanaf mijn 2 ^e jaar betoverd door muziek. Toen ik amper 3 jaar was ging ik voor het eerst “dirigeren bij een concert” welke ik zag op de TV. Ik zei toen tegen mijn ouders “Muziek is het mooiste op de wereld en wil ik gaan doen!” Al toen vond ik het geweldig om stukjes te spelen op de piano en ook eigen melodieën te bedenken. Misschien is het ook zo, omdat ik al vanaf mijn geboorde omringd ben door muziek en musici: mijn moeder is pianiste, mijn grootvader was dirigent en mijn oom is dwarsfluitist en saxofonist.

Already when I was 6 years old I was chosen for a music course for talented young children. From the age of 7 I got piano lessons from my mother. From the age of 8 I continued my musical development at the Kathedrale Koorschool in Utrecht, where I learned to sing in the choir and solfège.
From the age of 10 I performed more and more for an audience, e.g. as a solo pianist in the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, giving concerts with the musicians of the Radio Philharmonic Orchestra. In the Paradetheater Den Bosch I played with orchestra the “Les Carnaval des Animaux” of Camille Saint-Saëns . I also performed in Tivoli Vredenburg Utrecht and played as a pianist together with the Nederlands Blaas Ensemble. From the age of 11 I was accepted at the AMT – Young Talent Programme at the Utrecht Conservatory. 

I get my inspiration for music from the life stories of the great composers and love to listen and play their music. The music of Beethoven and J.S. Bach is my greatest inspiration. Also Rachmaninov, Chopin, Debussy and Ravel are my most beloved composers. When I play music or listen to it I am most happy. Playing the piano and composing for piano and other instruments is my greatest passion.

Al op mijn 6 ^e jaar werd ik gekozen voor een muziekcursus voor getalenteerde jonge kinderen. Vanaf mijn 7 ^e jaar kreeg ik pianolessen van mijn moeder. Vanaf mijn 8 ^e ging ik mij verder ontwikkelen op muzikaal gebied bij de Kathedrale Koorschool te Utrecht, waar ik leerde zingen in het koor en solfège.
Vanaf mijn 10 ^e heb ik steeds meer opgetreden voor publiek, bv. als solopianist in het Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, concert gegeven met de musici van het Radio Filharmonisch Orkest. In het Paradetheater Den Bosch heb ik met orkest gespeeld het “Les Carnaval des Animaux” van Camille Saint-Saëns . Ook heb ik opgetreden in Tivoli Vredenburg Utrecht en ook als pianist gespeeld samen met het Nederlands Blaas Ensemble. Vanaf mijn 11 ^e werd ik geaccepteerd bij de AMT – Jong Talent Programma te Conservatorium Utrecht. 

Ik krijg mijn inspiratie voor muziek van de levensverhalen van de grote componisten en luister en speel ik graag hun muziek. De muziek van Beethoven en J.S. Bach is mijn grootse inspiratie. Ook Rachmaninov, Chopin, Debussy en Ravel zijn mijn meest geliefde componisten. Als ik muziek speel of ernaar luister ben ik het meest gelukkig. Piano spelen en componeren voor piano en andere instrumenten is mijn grootste passie.
